What really grinds my gears.

Well it's monday! Which means a lot of people will be suffering from the monday blues, with the weekend being over, and the return of school/college/university/work.
Well I'm not depressed at all right now, but I do often get annoyed at simple things that happen on a normal day. So I'm going to steal this idea from family guy, and I'll sometimes have an "episode" of "What really grinds my gears", in which I will be able to complain about the things that annoy me to people who wont roll their eyes at me. Not visibly anyway!

So, y'know what really grinds my gears? When parents on public transport cant/wont do sort out their annoying kids! Like I was on the tram the other day, and for 30 minutes, some kid was yelling about anything and everything it could, just for attention. And what did the little brats mother do? She sat there and "read" the newspaper. Yeah, like anybody could read with that distraction!
Another thing that grinds my gears is people who can't seem to understand simple signs. If the sign on the tram says no bikes, then why, in gods name, are you trying to get your bike on the tram? And if you're clearly in a no smoking section, it does apply to you too!
Finally, the last thing on todays grind my gears is people on bikes in bury. I mean, the footpath is split in two; one half for pedestrians, the other for bikes. And if you walk in the bike lane, you're going to get yelled at. HOWEVER, apparently cyclists in bury are hypocrites. If a bike goes down the pedestrian side of the footpath, you're still expected to move. AND you occasionally still get yelled at! Christ, they've got a whole half a path there, and yet they still don't seem to understand where they're supposed to be cycling.

Well that's it for todays "what really grinds my gears". It's been good to get it off my chest. If you want to let me/others know what really grinds YOUR gears, post it in the comments section.

On a lighter note, I'm going to hang out in bury with my friend today, since his only train to uni has been  been cancelled. So I'm guessing we'll wind up in the pub. If anything interesting comes up that I think should be shared, I'll make a new post!

P.S. I named somebody's pet salamander yesterday (which is an amphibian by the way, just thought you should know). So hello to Squooshy and Hiccup!
P.P.S. This post makes me sound grumpy, so I'll make sure my next one is a little more light-hearted!
